6 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Nov 4)

2. A Pointless Beatdown

The Usos New Day Brawling Brutes

This might've been the worst Bloodline bit for a while, which is shocking to report.

Nobody should have any issues with The Brawling Brutes attacking The Usos from behind; Ridge Holland and Butch have watched the tag champs take out their leader Sheamus, so they should be out for revenge by any means necessary. However, this segment was still a miss.

Neither The Usos promo nor the eventual beatdown Butch and Ridge took did much to sell an upcoming tag bout at Crown Jewel. The whole thing, including New Day getting involved, just felt like the most paper-thin way of getting The Bloodline (sans Roman Reigns) on the show.

Sami Zayn and Jey Uso didn't even get to do much of their 'love/hate relationship' stuff, and the whole thing makes it obvious that The Brutes are 'B' level challengers. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods came out looking more important than them here, and that doesn't sit right.
