6 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Nov 4)

3. The Actual Match Itself

Onto the actual 'No DQ' battle itself.

Credit must go to both women for taking some painful bumps on Friday night. Sonya Deville's career hasn't been the same since WWE abruptly ended her potentially-awesome feud vs. old pal Mandy Rose in the summer of 2020, so it was sweet to see her doing something meaningful again.

No, this was nothing fresh or something you've never seen before, but originality with weapons-based brawls is unrealistic when pro wrestling companies book so many of the bloody things. Unoriginality aside, this match made Liv and Sonya look tough as nails and furthered Morgan's persona - that's a win for both.

The way Morgan blocked a German suplex attempt off the apron through a table, then shrugged and fell backwards so Sonya would take the brunt, was some giggle. That reckless abandon (explored in the previous entry too) suits her.
