4. The Energy Of That Opening Segment

WWE’s set-up promos for matches to come can be a tad predictable and boring, but Paul Heyman jousting with LA Knight on the mic was must-see fare. The way Heyman put Knight over as a big hit whilst simultaneously reminding him that The Bloodline runs the show was genius, and there were so many other neat little touches.

LA shutting down Jimmy Uso and Heyman reminding his charges they get paid for beating up John Cena and Knight at Fastlane (so not to be stupid here) was also good stuff. Throughout, there was an obvious amount of energy that told the full story; these characters are important, and crowds take them seriously.

No humdrum promo train here.

John Cena rushing out to return the favour and save LA upped the ante further. Credit where it's due - WWE has done a wonderful job with Knight over the past few months. His stock has gone through the roof, and things haven't even peaked yet.
