6 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Sept 9)
Solo Sikoa's in-ring debut; Braun Strowman destroys; Karrion Kross attacks!
Roman Reigns wasn't present for Solo Sikoa's initiation into The Bloodline. To that point, neither was 'Wise Man' Paul Heyman - WWE kept Paul E off your tellyboxes, and gave Roman the week off. That meant it was up to The Usos and Sami Zayn (of all people) to welcome Solo to the family.
It worked a treat.
There's a sweet dynamic between both Usos and Zayn that makes every segment they're involved in an easy watch. Now, thanks to some clever booking, Sami has also managed to endear himself to Sikoa. Zayn's excursion to the "Island Of Relevancy" continues then, but for how long?
Elsewhere, Braun Strowman showed up to boot some arses, WWE confirmed the next challenger for Liv Morgan's title, one of NXT's hottest acts officially moved to SmackDown and two women teased one hell of a tag-team union. Oh, and there was more Sheamus vs. Gunther goodness to sink your teeth into too.
Triple H deserves praise for the way SmackDown went off-air as well. That was a hot finish which bodes well for things to come at Extreme Rules, and maybe dropped some hints about the pay-per-view's possible main event.
Here's all the good and bad from Friday night.
