6 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Sept 9)
5. Sami Zayn Takes Another Bullet
Previously, Sami Zayn earned Roman Reigns' respect by putting himself in the firing line so his 'Tribal Chief' didn't need to. That ensured Sami's temporary place in The Bloodline for a little while longer, which is a good thing because...well, this story has been a bloody joy since the start.
WWE kept it going on SmackDown.
New Bloodline recruit Solo Sikoa evaded a chair shot from Drew McIntyre when Zayn pushed him out of the way and took it himself. That was an easy way to sell Solo on Sami immediately, infuriate Jey Uso (who smells a rat) further and make big Drew look like a rampaging badass.
It's hard to argue with a promo skit this robust; Solo Sikoa kept things brief enough on the mic that he came across well, The Usos brought some presence with them, Sami was as entertaining as always and McIntyre didn't let what happened last weekend in Cardiff slide.
