If you’re a conspiracy theorist, you could easily make the case that WWE tanked night one of WrestleMania 42 to make night two look better.

That’s bollocks, but you could see how people might feel like that.

Saturday’s card on paper was noticeably weaker, but even then, they dropped the ball on the execution of the event, both in the ring and in presentation.

While not the best night of WrestleMania ever, Sunday provided fans with everything they could have wanted: a meaty men slapping meat match, a crazy spotfest, some cinematic entrances, a bit of silliness, and a fantastic main event.

Was it enough to “save” WrestleMania 42 from being a disappointment? In many ways, yes. It won’t go down as one of the best 'Manias, but the second effort was enough to rescue it from a dismal start the first night.
