6 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE WrestleMania 42 - Sunday (Results & Review)

3. Ladder Match Madness

WWE WrestleMania 42 Rusev Je'Von Evans
WWE

WWE is not known as the professional wrestling company, but there is one match type that is their specialty: the multi-man ladder match. It’s exceedingly rare for them to botch one of those.

Thankfully, the Intercontinental Championship ladder match was not one of those misses.

All six men fired on all cylinders in a blistering 15-minute match that had zero lulls and an absolute minimum of slow climbs. Everyone had a good night, which is a rarity in these matches. Je’Von Evans had a few true high spots, including an OG Cutter to Rusev, who was on the ladder reaching for the title. As the non-luchador or smaller wrestler, Rusev played the role of brute extremely well. Rey Mysterio dialed it up for at least one more night.

There are too many spots to really highlight here. Suffice it to say, this is worth checking out. Penta retained, which was a perfectly acceptable result.
