6 Ups & 4 Downs For AEW Collision (Feb 10 - Results & Review)
While certain things didn't quite hit home, it was another week of solid in-ring work for Collision.
Another week, another episode of AEW Collision in the books.
Much like most other weeks with AEW, this Collision was full of great in-ring work. The thing is, sometimes there needs to be a little more going on that just great ringwork. That said, there were some nice story advancements on this week's Saturday show, but other elements just don't seem to be clicking right now in that regard. Not least, because Collision so often feels so damn predictable.
On headline duties this time out, it was Orange Cassidy defending the AEW International Title against CHAOS buddy Tomohiro Ishii... because rankings matter, right? Elsewhere, champion and challenger were in action, as AEW Women's Champion Toni Storm and her Revolution challenger Deonna Purrazzo had singles bouts. Then there was the fun prospect of Mark Briscoe vs. Brody King, Daniel Garcia vs. Shane Taylor, and a sprinkling of CMLL stars with the Blackpool Combat Club taking on Star Jr. and Esfinge. We also can't forget a Brian Cage squash match that was simply there to advance his brewing story with former Team Taz cohort Hook.
A little more of a mixed bag than Collision usually is - at least for your writer's tastes - let's get to it.
