6 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dynamite: Fyter Fest (20 July)

2. Wow, Dax

FTR promo
AEW

FTR brought the heat to the Briscoes in an incredible promo segment anchored by Tony Schiavone.

Cash Wheeler was good, putting the Death Before Dishonor match over as the biggest of their career, saying that while they respect Mark and Jay, they aren't going to let them walk out with everything they have worked for. Those belts will need to be plucked from their cold, dead hands.

Dax? Dax was next level. This was the kind of promo that makes you feel something. Recapping what he said doesn't do it just because his delivery, gesticulations, and passion are what made the story of his daughter's fight to heal the literal hole in her heart resonate so strongly. A battle greater than anything a fiction writer has ever penned, delivered by one of the realest, most compelling wrestlers in the world right now to elevate the stakes of a match that looked incredible in the first place.

Inside the ring and out, FTR remain the best tag team on the planet. And if you weren't stirred by Harwood in particular here, you might want to hit up your doctor and check you're still human.
