6 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dynamite (May 28)

Downs...

4. A Stalling Start

Mark Sterling Jade Cargill
AEW

Jade Cargill deserves time to hone her craft and get up to speed. She certainly has a striking look, presence and can talk fine, but it's a good idea to stick the wheeling, dealing Mark Sterling with her. Now, her manager can take some bumps for Cargill, leaving opponents open to her attacks.

Old school, baby.

Sadly, AEW didn't do the new pairing many favours here. Cargill beat Kilynn King in a short match that was bafflingly blighted further by a picture-in-picture ad break - during a five minute match! That killed any chances they had of making this something memorable stone dead.

Cargill has promise, and the addition of Sterling is a nice touch, but she'll need more support than this. The match itself was fairly slow and meandering too, and wasn't a great exhibition of what Jade usually brings to the party.
