6 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dynamite (May 28)

3. Third Wheeling

Oooh, he's a reet bastard.

PAC has that part of his act down to a tee, and everybody knows he can wrestle rings round 99% of workers in the biz, but it does feel like he's the third wheel in Sunday's AEW World Title situation. The real meat on the bone is between Kenny Omega and Orange Cassidy.

That means PAC is only really there to make up the numbers so the announcers can crow about "first time ever" Triple Threats for that belt on pay-per-view. That's oddly hollow for this promotion, being honest. On Dynamite, PAC's promo didn't do much to sell his threat to Omega as the next champion either.

Honestly, the Geordie native could've been doing with a rivalry slightly lower down the card before tackling the top prize. Putting Omega up against fellow heels also awkwardly sidesteps some of his purpose since being reborn under Don Callis.
