6 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dynamite (May 28)
1. The Weigh In
Well, this was a weigh-ste of time.
The weigh in segment was almost as poor as that joke. It was far too long and nothing actually happened of any note - Cody Rhodes and Anthony Ogogo posing in their boxers as Paul Wight struggled to work the scales was not compelling television, and it killed the early buzz of the live crowd.
JR also said what was on everybody's minds by poking holes in the ridiculous thought that Ogogo weighing one pound more than Cody could make a difference in their pay-per-view match. Come on. That little side story is supposed to offset Rhodes' decades of wrestling experience compared to the ex-boxer?
This was flat and a complete waste of minutes. Sorry, but AEW don't get a pass here. They might've just booked the worst segment in Dynamite history and p*ssed all over any thoughts that they'd use Wight better than WWE were.
Garbage.
