6 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dynamite (May 28)

MJF Wardlow Dean Malenko

Here's something AEW do rather well.

Last week, Chris Jericho could be seen chatting with old mate Dean Malenko backstage. Their light-hearted, banter-filled exchanges told even newbie fans that there was history there, and that set the scene for The Pinnacle's cold bloodlust on this week's Dynamite.

MJF interrupted Jericho's Inner Circle jerk to show that he and the imposing Wardlow were kicking seven shades out of 'Stinko Malenko' inside the nearby TIAA Bank Field. Jacksonville Jaguars new head coach Urban Meyer would've been proud of how well-orchestrated this play was.

Holy football reference.

Seriously though, this was a well-executed ending to the show. This fan could've done without that double piledriver spot through some tables from FTR, only because it doesn't make much sense that Circle members could recover in time for Sunday, but that's nitpicking at a fine closing angle.
