6 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage: Grand Slam (Sept 23)

2. Waiting Until After The Match

Christian Cage Luchasaurus Jungle Boy
AEW

That's exactly what happened.

Jungle Boy scored his win, celebrated, then Cage came out to distract him for Lucha's ambush from behind. Entering the ring, Christian gave JB a lecture for injuring his arm then losing at All Out anyway, and teased more was to come if Jungle dared show his face again.

You just know that's happening. AEW still have to burn through the essential dinosaur vs. Boy bout too - it'd be remiss of the promotion if they didn't try that on for size, 'cause Jungle and Lucha's 'little man vs. big man' dynamic would work a treat. They know one another well too, and would be right up for it.

Cage let the singles match between JB and Rey Fenix breathe, then picked his moment to stick it to his old protege. This heel 101 goodness was even better for the fact that it didn't harsh the buzz of a match everyone inside the stadium was enjoying.
