6 Ups & 4 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling (13 May)

Ups...

6. To Be Elite, You Must Breathe Elite

Poor Gia Miller. She’s only ever there to fulfil her duties as a backstage interviewer, yet she always finds herself in awkward situations. Case in point, Kenny Omega being his traditional nonchalant self while explaining why she’ll never be in the Super Elite.

The interview as a whole was great. Omega claimed that the Good Brothers had lost not only the World Tag Team Championships, but every bit of momentum they had, simply because he wasn’t there to guide them. It’s also the reason Karl Anderson failed to win the 2012 G1 Climax.

Omega was a bit of a knob here. The Good Brothers are going to believe anything that comes out of the guy’s mouth; for example, he and Anderson weren’t even affiliated at the time of the 2012 G1. Omega’s reasoning for ‘The Machine Gun’s’ failure there may not make sense to you and I, but as long as it’s Kenny Omega saying it, it must be true to Gallows and Anderson.

The point to take away from this is that any sort of interview involving Omega talking b*llocks is most likely going to be a hoot.
