6 Ups & 4 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling (5 August)

This week's IMPACT Wrestling was miles more enjoyable than last week's outing.

In short, a ton happened. Frankie Kazarian's in-ring return to IMPACT for the first time since May 2014 was hyped as the night's headliner, which tied into Sami Callihan and Eddie Edwards teaming together, too. They faced Kenny Omega and the Good Brothers in successful fashion. Chris Bey officially joined Bullet Club after defeating Juice Robinson in the night's opener. Jake Something earned the right to challenge Josh Alexander for the X Division Championship at Emergence by winning a banger of a four-way. Fire N Flava broke up after a short while of unsuccessful outings, this time losing to Jordynne Grace and Rachael Ellering again, with Savannah Evans debuting as Tasha's new partner.

Where IMPACT worked last night, it roared. When it was bad, though? It stood out massively.

The zombified Kimber Lee story isn't working quite as well as the creative team imagined it, while the Taylor Wilde and Tenille Dashwood feud received two banal sections on this show. That aforementioned Kazarian six-man tag? Yeah, it wasn't what it needed to be.

Here's hoping this isn't the end of 'The Elite Hunter' in IMPACT. Let's get to it...
