6 Ups & 4 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Oct 27)

4. Back On Track

It took them longer than it should have, but XXXL seem to finally be back on the right path following their victory over Dez and Wentz of The Rascalz. Considering they appeared to be on the verge of going their separate ways earlier this month, it was a much-needed victory for the superheavyweight tandem.

The treehouse residents got the ball rolling immediately, diving off the ropes during their entrance for stereo moonsaults, but the real meat of the match came as Acey Romero and Larry D decimated their opposition. Romero straight-up dropping people out of the sky was a real highlight here, as his huge uranage out of the corner to Dez set the former Super X Cup winner up for a top rope splash courtesy of Larry D to end the bout.

Following on from their two losses to The Rascalz at the start of October, Romero and D had to win this time around. It didn't quite make sense why they then ambushed Alex Shelley later on in the evening, staking their claim as the next in line for the World Tag Team Championships. One win isn't enough, especially when you're this far down the pecking order. As a match, though, it was adequate.
