6 Ups & 4 Downs From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Jun 21)

2. Monstrous Challenge

The Knockouts Championship match between Taya Valkyrie and Su Yung was a wonderful match. Plenty back and forth action and a story being told throughout with Su focusing her attack on Taya's shoulder during the match after the champion accidentally ran into a ring post.

It was all going fine, then Jessicka Havok interfered to push Valkyrie off the ropes. Rosemary intervened soon after, coming to the aid of Taya (looks like Taya's offer from earlier on has actually been accepted), before Father James Mitchell laid down a challenge for Slammiversary because apparently he can do that now. It'll be a Monster's Ball between the four women here with the Knockouts Championship on the line.

It's been a while since we've had a Monster's Ball on a pay-per-view event and if there's any combination of talent on the roster capable of producing a quality edition, you don't need to look much further than these four right here. You'd be in the right mind to say the challengers suit the style of a Monster's Ball - even though Taya Valkyrie may not be as suited to the match as the others, she may bust out a whole new side to her come Slammiversary.
