6 Ups & 4 Downs From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Jun 21)

5. Slammiversary Build Intensifies

While the whole prospect of having the ECW lads around does seem pointless for the most part, this part wasn't actually too bad. The match between Moose and Tommy Dreamer was good enough, and plus it helped build towards the former's match with Rob Van Dam at Slammiversary on 7 July.

In terms of the quality of the match here, it was much more satisfying to watch than originally thought. As it turns out, Dreamer is still capable of having enjoyable matches that don't rely on just weapons. Granted, a steel chair was used during the match, but this wasn't until the very end and it played an important role in the climax. Seeing as this was the only weapon moment from a match involving the 'Innovator of Violence', we can probably let it slide.

Following the bell, Rob Van Dam rushed out to save Tommy from a coast to coast at the hands of Moose. Firstly, this helped build towards the Slammiversary match, so we can't be complaining there. Secondly, imagine a coast to coast from a man the size of Moose? What a sight that would've been.
