After watching the show-opening, near-show-stealing Women’s Intercontinental Championship match, the NXT Women’s Championship match might as well have been advertised as being wrestled in molasses.

To be fair, the bout between Jacy Jayne and Jordynne Grace wasn’t bad, but it certainly wasn’t up to par with the two other singles title matches. There were some sloppy moments throughout, and Jayne is an unconvincing champ, especially since she’s trying to follow Stephanie Vaquer.

Jacy is very likely keeping the title warm for whoever comes next, but that’s about it. There’s not much to say about this match. Even the aftermath was completely focused on others, with Grace seething at Blake Monroe turning on her, setting up a program between the two NXT imports.

Jayne just feels like a placeholder in every sense of the word.
