6 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Evolution 2025 (Results & Review)

1. Slowest Spotfest Ever

WWE Evolution 2025 Jade Cargill Naomi
WWE

How can you accurately describe the No Holds Barred match between Jade Cargill and Naomi?

The match consisted of nothing but a series of “hardcore” spots with zero connective tissue between them, but calling it a “spotfest” would be misleading, because there was a full minute between each spot. You wouldn’t know this is supposed to be a blood feud between two former close friends, judging by the pace and (lack of) intensity.

Compare this match to the quality brawl between the two from 24 hours earlier on Saturday Night’s Main Event. This No Holds Barred match was a plodding, dull match that had no real sense of urgency.

They used weapons seemingly because they were obligated to do so, not for any real purpose. Naomi struck Jade with a kendo stick once and then walked away, wandering around for a good 30 seconds before staring at Cargill while she delivered a spear on the floor. Jade hit Naomi with a camera once and then tossed it to the floor. Chairs and a trash can were wielded for one attack and then discarded as well.

Also, Jade ate about 80% of the offense for the match and then hit one move – the Jaded through the table – and picked up the win, which made her look lucky rather than good.

Lastly, what was the point of having Bianca Belair as the guest referee? All she did was sob and ask if each woman was okay 1,000 times after each weapon shot. She was a complete non-factor and didn’t even feel like herself.
