Clearly, Liv Morgan’s injury created ripple effects throughout WWE’s creative plans, including the Women’s Tag Team Championship match for Evolution. The original plan most likely wasn’t going to be a four-way tag title match, but that’s where we landed.

The result on Sunday night was a frenetic battle that frequently broke down into chaos, with women tagging in and out randomly, and sometimes just outright ignoring the tag rules. The big stories coming in were two odd couple tag teams, one of which was the champs, with Roxanne Perez replacing Morgan but teaming with Raquel Rodriguez for the first time. The other was a standoffish Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss.

The match chugged along with some decent action until Zaria charged for a spear on Bliss, only for Charlotte to pull her out of the way, resulting in Zaria flattening her partner, Sol Ruca. This would open the door for the tag champs to take out everyone – with Raquel powerboming Alexa onto a pile outside the ring – and ultimately putting Ruca down with a Tejana Bomb.

While the match itself wasn’t anything special, the tag champs starting to gel and Bliss/Flair coming together could yield a nice match in the near future – perhaps as soon as SummerSlam – which is enough to merit an “Up” here.
