6 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Raw (16 Dec - Results & Review)

Ups…

6. Miz The Useful Idiot

Finally, WWE has found a role for The Miz that suits his character perfectly. The cowardly villain has become a useful idiot for a heel stable to put into harm’s way.

Miz tried to negotiate his way out of the Final Testament since the Wyatt Sicks were vanquished last week, but Karrion Kross had other plans, saying their feud with Uncle Howdy and company is over when he says it is. Kross reminded Miz that Dexter Lumis had kidnapped him once upon a time, and Miz needed to fight him next week. Paul Ellering reminded Miz that he had saved the A-Lister twice, so Miz owed the group.

The best part came after Miz walked off, with Kross noting that he didn’t really know – or care – if Miz could defeat Lumis, but this was a way to “keep testing” the Wyatts. It also served as a reminder to Miz that there’s no running out on the devil after making a deal with him.

Again, this is a perfectly acceptable use of these players in their own little universe, and a heel stable using Miz in this manner also worked really nicely.
