6 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Raw (16 Dec - Results & Review)

5. Corruption In Progress

Karrion Kross isn’t the only person who can attempt to corrupt wrestlers on Raw. Drew McIntyre tried his hand at it on Monday night when he approached Seth Rollins.

Rollins was still fuming after the brawl with CM Punk, and Drew noted that he and Seth have commonality in their ability to see through Roman Reigns, and that Roman regaining power will only lead to the Bloodline becoming a cancer in WWE again.

However, McIntyre seemingly overplayed his hand with Rollins, because Seth didn’t agree that Reigns’ “enablers” – Sami Zayn and Jey Uso, specifically – needed to be taken out. He called them his friends and respects them, and then he added that the jury is still out on Drew.

Of course, McIntyre isn’t going to succeed at drawing Rollins over to the dark side on the first try. But It’s not unfathomable to envision a future where Sami and Jey continue to fall in line behind Roman as he ramps up his power and influence, and Seth becomes frustrated by it all. At that point, he’d be more susceptible to Drew’s entreaties.

Plus, their shared hatred of Punk can only help drive them together. Maybe it won’t happen, but we’re allowed as fans to fantasy book it, and that’s a fun aspect of this story.
