4. Surprisingly Good Impromptu Match

Je’Von Evans seemed to bite off much more than he could chew by picking a fight with The Vision on Monday night, slapping Bron Breakker backstage and challenging him to a match.

The Young OG continued to court danger throughout the match, but he also kept firing up on Breakker, keeping the tag champion off-balance. He countered a spear attempt with a thrust kick, dropped him with a corkscrew kick and springboard clothesline, and turned a military press slam into a DDT.

Even interference from The Vision couldn’t stop Evans, as he took out Bronson Reed and Austin Theory long enough to set up an OG Cutter, but Theory recovered and caused a disqualification, ending a pretty entertaining match that revealed some really good chemistry between the two.

Evans continues to be in this strange nexus of showing a more serious, aggressive side, but he also still has that youthful energy and playfulness. Honestly, it wouldn’t be surprising to find out that WWE creative has no idea what to do with him, so they keep vacillating between these personas.

Still, DQ aside, this was a pretty decent little match.
