5. Penta Stays Focused On The Prize

Following up on last week’s stellar World Heavyweight Championship match, WWE needed to lean into Penta’s head-turning performance Monday night.

The man with zero fear opened Raw by talking about how last week was one of the biggest nights of his life, and while Roman Reigns was the better man last week and had earned Penta’s respect, their rivalry was not over. However, Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh were out to interject, telling Penta to get to the back of the line.

Judgment Day attacked Penta, but he was able to fend off both wrestlers, standing tall and looking like the bona fide main-eventer that Wade Barrett had declared moments earlier. This was a simple segment, but it served its purpose, and it was amplified later in the main event.
