3. The Title Reign Must Continue

When Raw announcers are lampshading the ridiculous reality that the Judgment Day have defended their World Tag Team Championship only once during their five-month reign, you know there’s a serious problem. Still, that was the scene on Monday night as Finn Balor and JD McDonagh managed to escape with their titles against the War Raiders… with some help from Dominik Mysterio and Carlito. And the heatless reign will continue.

To put Judgment Day’s title reign into perspective, the WWE Tag Team Championship on SmackDown has been defended seven times during the past five months. That is an insane imbalance.

If the Judgment Day was still a hot act generating a ton of reaction as a group (see more later), then this would be excusable. But they’re a sideshow, and the end result is other tag teams stagnating as they tread water because there’s nowhere for them to ascend.
