6 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Raw (25 Nov - Results & Review)

Ups…

6. Righting The Ship?

After another disappointing loss last week, American Made felt like it was poised to either turn the corner and make headway, or they would continue to slide down the card.

On Monday, the Creed Brothers tangled with the LWO’s Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee in a tornado tag match that seemed like the perfect showcase for the athletic brothers to get on track and right the ship for the star-spangled stable. And for much of the action-packed match, it looked like the Creeds were following up nicely on last week’s “pep talk” from Chad Gable and firing on all cylinders.

But then WWE slunk back into one of its favorite shortcuts with Mysterio: mask shenanigans. Gable snuck onto the apron and twisted Rey’s mask, blinding him long enough for Julius to roll him up for the pin. Sigh.

The Creeds (and American Made) needed a win here. They got it. That’s good. But this should have been a decisive victory rather than relying on “mask stuff” to get the win. Overall, this is a net positive, but it feels like WWE is trying to do a one-foot-in, one-foot-out deal in booking this. Still, if American Made strings together a few wins, it could overcome this criticism.
