6 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Raw (25 Nov - Results & Review)
3. Good Match, Predictable Non-Finish
Sometimes a match graphic flashes on the screen and the finish is so obvious that fans could bet their homes on it with confidence.
Ludwig Kaiser versus Bron Breakker had “Sheamus causes a disqualification” plastered all over it from the jump. The question was when and how the interference would happen. Thankfully, Kaiser and Breakker simply tore into each other for about eight minutes, with the Intercontinental Champion racing around the ring and floor at top speed – and running right into the corner of the announce desk at one point, knocking it backward a good half meter.
When it came time for Sheamus’ part, WWE didn’t even try to hide it, with the Celtic Warrior sprinting down the aisle on camera to level Kaiser and cause the DQ (which differed from last week, when Ludwig appeared “out of nowhere” to plaster Breakker on the floor).
From there, the three-way brawl was on, leading to the predictable outcome of Raw GM Adam Pearce making a triple-threat Intercontinental Championship match at Survivor Series. The match should be an all-action, bruising affair, which partly makes up a bit for WWE’s typical clichéd approach to booking it.
