5. The Duality Of Naomi

Both Bianca Belair and Naomi earned plaudits for their organic emotion during a confrontation on the 7 March edition of SmackDown. That was quickly followed by Jade Cargill giving her side of the story, and there's still so much up in the air with all of this. One thing's become clear throughout it: Naomi is about to go on one hell of a heel run.

She delivered a neat pre-taped promo on this week's show. Naomi turned on the waterworks when talking about Bianca, then got a little crazy when talking Jade. There were some really killer shots in here (kudos to production) that showed the split personality vibes Naomi has going on right now. The freshly-turned villain urged Cargill to “proceed with caution”, which echoes her new gear. That's excellent stuff, and it’s great to see Naomi do something like this that develops a character beyond the smiling babyface “GLOW” stuff.

Naomi then ambushed Michin and B-FAB ‘cause they were shown giving Cargill support during a backstage skit. You've got to love that continuity and attention to detail, but it begs the question: Where was this from Naomi when her hubby Jimmy Uso was getting his butt kicked by Drew McIntyre last year?! So, she does watch the show when it suits. WWE can use that too, if necessary.

Go watch the pre-tape mentioned. Tears rolled down Naomi's cheeks as she spoke about a fractured friendship with Belair, then she went borderline Joker with some of the facial expressions once Jade's name entered the chat.
