Right, that's enough moaning. Let's focus on the highlights SmackDown had to offer everyone tuning in.

Longtime TNA fans and admirers of all things Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley must be enjoying the hot start these Motor City Machine Guns are off to in WWE. The company has decided to lean on the team's in-ring strengths whilst portraying them as a good-natured, hardworking pair of seasoned pros. It's working, and the pleasing reactions the Guns are getting from crowds reflects that.

Yes, they're gonna need some more character (that counts for a hell of a lot in WWE) and a full-on feud soon, but signs of that happening are there. This match MCMGs have lined up vs. The Street Profits next week will likely be a one-off to further bolster them as champs, so the real story is with DIY and Tommaso Ciampa's meltdown/frustrations.

That could end up being one of the best tag-team rivalries of the entire year if Triple H plays his cards correctly. The Machine Guns will feel comfortable in there with Gargano and Ciampa, especially if the latter is going to ramp up the aggression and go back to his NXT roots. More on that to come in these 'Ups', and deservedly so.

Go watch Shelley and Sabin tear A-Town Down Under to pieces if you're into slick TV tag wrestling. No, Theory and Waller don't have a long-term future as buddies, but they bumped around nicely for the babyface champs and the match was never less than watchable.
