6 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Dec 18)

Downs...

4. More Women’s Tag Woes

Tamina wasn't an upgrade on Natalya.

Billie Kay's latest temporary tag partner was actually predicted in last week's article, which perhaps says it all here. SmackDown's female ranks are so thin on the ground that she seemed like the most obvious next step (albeit a backwards one) for the story.

Kay's mystery partner angle is as dull as they come anyway, and it's actually hard to see any kind of pay off for it. WWE will probably just run out of one-off pals for the ex-IIconics member, then move on as if nothing happened. This isn't helping Liv Morgan or Ruby Riott either.

These matches are a total waste of TV team - they're outright failing to get anybody involved over, lack any sense of direction as a coherent story generally and are just...meh. The women's tag division is a jumbled mess of bit parts that nobody really cares about.
