Let the good times roll.

One of the only things rolling on the latest SmackDown was Matt Riddle's neck when Shorty G saved 'King' Corbin from a royal kicking and hit the ex-UFC man with a sweet German Suplex. This soft heel(-ish) turn for Chad Gable doesn't make much sense and did come out of nowhere, but it could be a blessing in disguise.

He wasn't doing anything anyway, and follow-up matches against Riddle could be hot sh*t. If nothing else, they'll represent another chance for Shorty to prove that he's better than lame, one-note height jokes. There are few better bell-to-bell in the entire company, and Riddle must be licking his lips at the prospect of working together.

Don't expect Corbin's "ransom" angle to get dropped just like that though. It makes sense that Riddle will face a revolving door of opportunistic mercenaries before working the 'King' at SummerSlam. Gable is just step one.
