6 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Sept 30)
3. Making The Best Of It

Credibility helped the hastily-arranged headliner too.
WWE had to contend with Hurricane Ian impacting some travel plans for the show, but they made the best of things. Though the main event six-man was definitely house show fare, it did entertain and everyone worked hard to put on a show. No-one was shortchanged for their ticket price.
If only those aforementioned production gaffes hadn't happened. WWE's truck botching the finish was a disservice to Drew McIntyre, Kevin Owens, Johnny Gargano, Austin Theory and Alpha Academy, to be brutally honest. Oh well, at least the live crowd didn't have to suffer through that.
Seeing Gargano mix it with Chad Gable was a real treat. The same could be said for how fired up reborn babyface KO is these days - his sections pulled the most noise from fans in Winnipeg. This was a rock solid main, and proof positive that WWE's talent pool is deep.
