6 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE WrestleMania Backlash

Downs…

4. Just A Reminder

Sheamus Ricochet

The frustrating thing about watching Ricochet wrestle and lose to Sheamus on the Backlash kickoff show is that you forget just how effortless he really is in the ring.

Even though Ricochet had virtually no chance at defeating the United States Champion – even in a non-title match – the One and Only still managed to pull a few hope spots and make you believe for a fleeting second that he could pull it out. Of course, he couldn’t and didn’t, but still.

But while you were lamenting how abysmal it is that WWE has an uber-talented wrestler like Ricochet literally doing nothing on Raw right now, he then swiped Sheamus’ hat and jacket and mocked the Celtic Warrior – after losing cleanly to the champ. So not only did Ricochet lose like a chump, but he then acted like a heelish dweeb and sore loser by attacking Sheamus afterward.

WWE legit can’t figure out how to book their talented wrestlers on the show, and when they do, they can’t figure out how to write them intelligently or consistently.
