6 Ups & 5 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling (29 April)
Ups...
6. Ten Years Too Long
Taylor Wilde’s first match back in IMPACT wasn’t quite as good as it should have been, but she still delivered a good performance vs. Kimber Lee. The former Knockouts Champion came out victorious with a nice variant of the figure four leglock, garnering an unnecessarily quick tap out from Kimber.
A fairly quick match saw Taylor execute a few arm drags, Kimber connect with a decent spin kick, and Susan rub her shoe in Wilde’s face because why the f*ck not. It’s like her whole gimmick at this stage. She attempted that match-ending submission on numerous occasions, which lessened the excitement when she did lock it in, but it still made for a neat submission.
Tenille Dashwood saved Taylor from a post-match beatdown, laying out Susan with a Spotlight Kick while Wilde appeared confused. A minor Down for that because there’s no need to be continuing that story. Otherwise, this was decent. Your writer would have preferred to see the bridging German suplex end proceedings, but by using the submission, it shows that Wilde has adapted her style as professional wrestling has evolved. She’s going to have a banger with Deonna Purrazzo one day. Bring it on.
