6 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE Raw (17 Mar - Results & Review)
Downs…
5. Placeholder Promo

A week after being dragged out of a cage match and stomped into the arena floor by Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins had the room to himself on Monday night, a rare free opportunity to really make his case without Reigns or CM Punk around to overshadow him.
Rollins used his time to allow fans to sing “whoa-oh-oh-oh”, ala his theme, for an eternity before saying he would have done the same thing Roman did last week and that Punk was lucky Reigns pulled him out of the cage when he did or else Seth would have stomped Punk’s head into the mat (which was a good line) and ended his WrestleMania dreams. But beyond that, Rollins rambled about needing to clean up Roman’s mess (by beating Punk) and said he was headed to SmackDown to confront Reigns and Punk. The end.
Did anyone learn anything new from this promo? If they had simply thrown up a graphic announcing that all three men would be at SmackDown on Friday, would that have accomplished the same as this? It felt like a big waste of time. Rollins could have said something of substance or staked out a position ahead of Friday, but he basically empathized with Roman and then said he’d reserve most of his comments until SmackDown.
