6 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE Raw (April 11)

Ups…

6. At Least He Won Convincingly

Veer Mahaan

We already covered why switching up Veer Mahaan’s opponent without any notice after a week of promoting the match was stupid, but we also have to pay a compliment.

Veer absolutely demolished young Dominik, shrugging off his offense like it was a fly buzzing around him, catching a crossbody attempt to the floor and slinging Mysterio into the barricade, levelling him with clotheslines and putting him away with a modified Camel Clutch.

And then Mahaan reapplied the clutch twice more, leading to Dominik doing a stretcher job. That’s a pretty convincing re-debut for Veer, putting a name opponent (rather than a jobber) into an ambulance, which should set him up for a match with a bona fide legend in Rey Mysterio.

If only they had booked this match last week and not five minutes before showtime
