Cody Rhodes The Miz

There really wasn’t much chance that Cody Rhodes was going to lose his Raw return match after six years away from WWE, but he still managed to have a nice little bout against The Miz.

The match wasn’t anything spectacular – Miz wasn’t going to come close to pulling out the victory, but he at least provided the perfect opponent: safe, reliable and solid. But we definitely weren’t getting spectacular.

Cody won cleanly, surviving Miz’s Figure Four before delivering a Cody Cutter and Cross-Rhodes. Afterwards, Seth Rollins got in the ring and noted that Rhodes had tossed out the idea of a WrestleMania rematch and took him up on the offer, noting that Cody would no longer have the element of surprise.

This sets up what should be a nice rematch between two top-tier wrestlers and hopefully will full establish Cody at the top of the card.
