Downs…

5. Teddy Long Special

So we sat through a first-time ever match (not announced) between Drew McIntyre and Theory that went on and on… just to get a DQ… and then a tag team match?

Both matches were lengthy, as these two at up a ton of TV time, all leading to Theory tapping out to the Hurt Lock to preserve himself for his United States Championship match against Bobby Lashley. It was a lot of time spent to accomplish next-to-nothing… except filling a ton of TV time.

And that’s what makes this so bad. Unlike a typical Teddy Long Special, the singles bout went on for a good while, setting up a pointless tag match that also was lengthy. None of the wrestling was bad, but did we need to sit through all of that to get a result that was mostly meaningless?
