6 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE Raw (July 25)

4. It’s Not A Thing

Every time WWE tries to make the “Miz has tiny balls” gag happen, a little bit more of this writer dies inside.

It’s not funny, never has been, and never will be. When you have to forcefully lead a cheer, it’s not a thing – it’s a call-and-response for all of six seconds. The funny thing is the Miz/Logan Paul showdown started strong at the outset of Raw, and then it when from a blood feud to a gag.

And then, of course, Ciampa showed up to help Miz beat Paul down, because it takes two full-time wrestlers to overcome a celebrity who has had one wrestling match and an exhibition boxing match whose validity has been called into question.

If the opening segment was the only interaction, this would’ve been an easy “up.” Instead, the ImPaulsive TV segment dragged things way down.
