6 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE Raw (Sept. 12)

2. Rhea Brings Out Dominik’s Evolution

Call Rhea Ripley Dominik Mysterio’s whisperer. At least, that’s how they’re portraying her these days.

Ripley was seen literally whispering in Dom’s ear during his backstage promo, prompting Mysterio to add that he’s now a man. She later shooed Rey away while Dominik was preparing for his match against Edge. And she was ringside with Dominik, offering encouragement and advice during the match.

Meanwhile, Dominik still is learning on the fly, but he’s already 20 times more interesting as a member of Judgment Day than just Rey’s son. And his promo nailed that very point, about how a small man like Rey casts a big shadow, and Dom wanted to get out of it.

The match itself was decent enough, and it got the greater point across, that Judgment Day actually is dangerous, as they took out Edge to close the show. Perhaps now the group can move on and pick a new target before we get the inevitable Rey/Dominik match.
