5. A Rough Opening Segment

The pulsating energy from the Barcelona masses was definitely there as LA Knight kicked off the show, but the babyface's banter didn’t exactly keep the party going with some of his oddly heelish lines. Then, both Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa stumbled over their words on the mic. This was very raw and unscripted, and not in a good way.
First, Jimmy said he wanted the “US Tag Title”, then Solo struggled to get a line out about ‘Big Jim’ being a big failure. It's strange to see guys who do so much talking (and are usually comfortable with a mic in their hands) trip over their words like this. Listen, it happens, but the fact so many flubs occurred back to back hurt the segment.
Braun Strowman then rushed out to set up the obvious six-man, but damn…this was rough. We had some sparkling promo segments last week, so maybe this had a tough act to follow. Not every promo is going to be a home run; even those as simple as a revolving door promo train can go off the rails if wrestlers start to hesitate or slip up.
Thankfully, Barcelona didn't seem to pick up on Jimmy's embarrassing claim to a belt that doesn't exist, and Uso actually helped his brother Solo out by interrupting his stammering speech. Not the slickest start to a WWE episode you'll see in 2025, put it that way. Man, wish Jimmy had nailed that United States Title challenge line though.
Hope it doesn't come back to bite him.
