4. Six-Man Is Riddled With Miscommunication

Well, this was also unexpected.

Yours truly didn’t think workers as slick as the six in this one would be so clunky, but they never seemed to be in sync throughout the six-man tag. Even Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso seemed to be all over the place and unsure of what they were supposed to be doing out there. The match just wasn't a great effort. It was more house show fare than anything else, which isn’t always the worst but defo didn’t work on this occasion.

Individual fan tolerance for this will vary, but there were several moments where workers were visibly chatting about upcoming spots onscreen. It's almost like WWE scheduled this one last minute right before the show went on the air and left the lineup short on time. Even then, you'd have every right to expect experience to take over as dudes like Uso, Strowman, Fatu and Knight went into autopilot to deliver something worthwhile.

Credit to Tama Tonga for being the glue holding this one together then. He was precisely where he needed to be for absolutely everything, and he actually seemed to be the only one of the six involved who had a clue what was on the format sheets throughout. It'd be a slight surprise if these guys didn't bang heads afterwards to figure out what went wrong and why.

Thankfully, WWE six mans are often so formulaic that everyone got back on the same page by the time the finish rolled around. Having Braun pin Tama was the right way to go. Post-match, he was wrecked by Fatu (again), so at least another match between those guys to follow a banger back at Saturday Night's Main Event in January will soothe the temporary aches of this bout.
