6 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Dec 6)

4. The Revival Didn't Bring Up Clash Of Champions

If you're having déjà vu concerning New Day vs. The Revival, don't be alarmed. This is a card WWE played just a few months ago. In fact, back at Clash Of Champions in September, Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson beat New Day by submission to become the new SmackDown Tag-Team Champs.

Did they bring that up post-match on Friday? No, they didn't.

That's a glaring omission creatively. Why wouldn't braggart heels draw attention to their previous win over the same team (sort of; it was Xavier Woods, not Kofi Kingston, in that Clash match) right before wrestling them again on pay-per-view? That's exactly what The Revival should be doing.

WWE like to think fans have short memories and don't care about this sort of stuff. That makes it difficult for people to care about anything if recent history is ignored and folks are expected to pretend two-three months ago didn't happen.
