6 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Feb 19)

2. Two Tag Matches Nobody Wanted

WWE confirmed late on that Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair will join forces to challenge for the Women's Tag Titles at Elimination Chamber. That earned a big ol' sigh from your writer, because it's another thing he feared might happen after last week's shenanigans.

Bayley's talk show skit thus led to two tags that nobody wanted. First, Sasha and Bianca linked up with Reginald (who must've impressed somebody behind the scenes as Carmella's wine butler) to take on Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler and Bayley. The SmackDown Women's Champ and her possible challenger furthered their unlikely union here.

Sigh x 2.

There's no point in shying away from the truth: Banks and Belair hitting double dropkicks like they're The Rockers is not going to do anything for their program in the weeks before WrestleMania. If anything, they should be at loggerheads, not trying to become tag champs.
