6 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Oct 1)

2. Going 50/50 With WrestleMania

Some rematches just don't need to happen on TV.

Bianca Belair vs. Sasha Banks, sadly, fits into that category. WWE made Belair look like a million bucks by having her beat Banks in the main event of WrestleMania 37's first night. Did people know then that Sasha would get revenge in the future? Sure, but not in a throwaway effort on SmackDown.

That's what this was. Beating Bianca, even with interference from Becky Lynch, felt confusing when Belair is off to Raw and will be relied upon to help carry that division. Can't WWE let someone get a huge win without returning the favour, at least until it's the right thing to do for business?

Sasha beating Bianca via roll-up was a cheap way to go 50/50. It f*cked with 'Mania's historic headliner, and it cheapened Belair by once again making her look like an idiot who can't see the most blatant heel tricks coming when they're right under her nose.
