6. A Minor Disappointment

This fan was really looking forward to Ruby Soho vs. Penelope Ford, but it never really felt like it got going, and there was rarely the sense that these two women cannot stand one another. As a result, their TBS Title tourney bout came out looking like any other one-off tournament match.

That's a bit disappointing.

Both ladies have been doing good things lately. Ford's work, particularly on Rampage, has taken her up a notch, and Soho is clearly enjoying the freedom AEW provides. That only makes it all the more confusing that they didn't light it up on Dynamite.

There was a real lack of intensity throughout all eight minutes of their clash, which is a shame. In fact, at the risk of insulting them, both seemed to be going through the motions instead of vindicating the build with a sh*t-kicking brawl.
