6 Ups & 6 Downs From Kane's WWE Career

3. The Debut

Kane Debut Badd Blood 97
WWE

A sure-fire contender in any "best debut ever" debate, Kane's arrival at Badd Blood: In Your House still stands as one of the finest moments of Glenn Jacobs' wrestling career. It was all that anyone could possibly want from an arrival, with WWE nailing everything from the build to Vince McMahon's all-time great call ("That's gotta be... that's gotta be Kane!"), creating an instant megastar in a single night.

The Undertaker was at war with former manager Paul Bearer at the time. After lobbing a fireball in his storyline father's face at In Your House 14, 'The Phenom' was issued an ultimatum: reunite with Bearer, or have his biggest secret unleashed upon the world. He refused, and Paul started speaking of Kane, the forgotten brother who'd survived a house fire set by 'Taker, and a horrific, burned monstrosity who was coming for revenge.

Kane made his arrival during Undertaker's Hell in a Cell match with Shawn Michaels, stunning 'The Deadman' and the audience, hitting him with his own Tombstone Piledriver. Oh yeah, he kinda ripped the cell door off too...

An awe-inspiring first impression, and one that WWE will struggle to ever better.
