4. Lyra Is Feeling It

Want proof that feuding with Becky Lynch has caused Lyra Valkyria to lock in?

The Women’s Intercontinental Champion tore through her promo on Monday night without showing any signs of getting thrown by a dopey audience that insisted on chanting “What?” during Lyra’s remarks. Rather than get sidetracked, she continued to dress down Lynch, first calling her out so Valkyria could say everything to her face, and then shutting her up multiple times, calling Becky sad and delusional to the point where her downfall needed to be studied.

Valkyria kept her poise as she laid into The Man, while Lynch did a solid job portraying herself as the confident-in-name-only challenger, claiming she could easily pick up the win but then backing down from a fight.

Win or lose on Saturday, Lyra has won in that she has successfully found her voice and confidence in this feud. The challenger will be maintaining that after Becky is out of the picture. Hopefully, the heel Lynch character won’t be proven correct, that this is a lose-lose proposition for Valkyria because she’s only relevant while going against The Man.
